Personalised preventative and responsive treatment

It all starts with the feet. They carry the entire body, create balance and movement, and provides sensory feedback to the brain to minimise risk of injury. When placed under pressure, whether it is walking, running or recreational, amateur, or competitive sport, our feet and legs can succumb to injury. Injuries can occur directly in the foot or cause referred symptoms into other parts of the body.

Our approach at Ashmore Podiatry focuses on both personalised preventative and responsive treatment to resolve acute, recurring, and chronic issues.

Treatment options include:

  • Biomechanical assessments
  • Custom made orthoses
  • Stretching and strengthening programs
  • Dry needling trigger points
  • Footwear assessments
  • Strapping (taping) or padding
  • Heel raises/wedges
  • Corn and callus removal

We treat the following common foot and leg injuries and conditions:

  • Forefoot pain (including bunions, sesamoiditis, toe deformities, neuroma)
  • Arch pain (plantar fasciitis)
  • Heel pain
  • Achilles pain
  • Ankle sprains
  • Shin pain (shin splints)
  • Knee pain (if connected to your feet)
  • Hip pain (if connected to your feet)
  • Bursitis
  • Stress fractures

We ensure that your feet perform at the highest level

To understand and manage your complaint effectively, you may be referred for further diagnostic studies, which can include ultrasound and plain x-ray. These diagnostic modalities are requested only when necessary and can greatly assist in obtaining a clear diagnosis to facilitate an effective management plan.

We work with you to ensure your feet perform at the highest level so you can stay active and pain free.
